Meet The Team

Julia Wright - Founder

Hello, it’s great to have you here. My name is Julia and I am a travel blogger! I have been writing all of my life, and previously worked for a travel agency where I would recommend the best places to visit in the states.

After around 3 years of writing for the agency, I realized that I wanted more control over what I was reviewing, where I was going, and what information I wanted to bring to my audience. I decided to set up my own blog, and just a year on- here I am.

Travel Junkie Julia is my passion project. I can talk about my favorite places, the best tips and secrets about airlines and airports, hidden food spots, and the most exciting activities to do while on vacation!

Most bloggers will tell you how to budget. Budgeting is a good idea, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t enjoy a little luxury every once in a while.

The difference is, I’m happy to spend some money when it is worth it. You only live once, so why not enjoy the most comfortable and welcoming hotels available, and go ahead and spend on a delicious meal.

If you are ready to take on the world, explore the sights, and see some of the most incredible places on offer, then take a look at some of my articles!

Alex Herrera - Writer

Hello, my name is Alex, and I work full-time as a travel writer here at Travel Junkie Julia. I previously worked as part of Julia’s team, and we quickly bonded over our passion for travel and our wanderlust.

She started this blog, and a few months later asked me if I wanted to be a part of it. My answer was so easy- it was like a dream come true.

Now, I get to do what I love, and write about it for other like minded individuals to enjoy.

I am now responsible for the articles that get the most out of your money. The articles that give you the best ideas and activities that are so worth it.

I got this idea after I went on my own two month long trip.

You see, a few years ago, I wanted to travel to lots of places I have never been to before. Hawaii was at the top of my list, but I wanted to see some other states too. When planning the trip with my partner, he was happy to skimp out on costs and just go to the cheapest places around.

He wanted to stay in hostels out of the way to save a few bucks.

But this was meant to be my trip of a lifetime- I wanted to make the most of it. I took to researching many different hotels, resorts, and the locations with the best restaurants and bars so that I knew I could have a great experience.

There are so many things that you can do that are once in a lifetime experiences- you don’t want to miss out on them just to save a few dollars.

There are lots of budget friendly activities that will take your breath away, but also not break the bank.

Now, I research and find these activities for our readers.

I hope that our articles can inspire you to book your next vacation. Happy Travels!
